The FA have published today guidelines on the 2020-21 Non League Structure start. The overall guidelines from the FA for grass roots football can be found here with the guidelines for the National League System found here

In general the guidlines cover

English Clubs and Leagues only , the Welsh and Scottish Clubs and Leagues will need to follow their own devolved administration, this also implies to clubs from England playing teams in those countries.

The FA and the Leagues are aiming for a September start of competitive matches in the NLS; however, this is subject to change in accordance with Government guidance andapproval for paying spectators, which may be published from time to time. NLS (or relevant FA Competition) fixturesare proposed to commence on:

Step 1 & 2: No earlier than Saturday, 5th September 2020
Steps 3 & 4: Saturday, 19th September 2020
 Steps 5 & 6: From Saturday 5th September 2020
Pre-Season Friendlies can commence from August 2020 behind closed doors

The FA have also published dates for this years FA Cup and FA Vase from Sept 2020 and it is expected that all clubs will be involved.

Given that yesterdays announcement from the Government indicated spectators could return with social distancing from 1st October 202 subject to successful trials and state of covid-19 see here there is still doubt as to the dates and whether the Non League System can return without crowds which was stated previously as not viable.
