The FA have announced a restructure of the Non League Pyramid for the 2018-19 season with an overhaul of Steps 3 and 4 with a goal to encourage more clubs from step 5 to seek promotion and to reduce travelling time for fans, players and officials by ironing out geographical anomalies.

A new step 3 league will be created an managed by the Southern League.
