The Preliminary Round of the 2020-21 Emirates FA Cup took place the weekend Saturday 12 September 2020


The round consisted of 160 ties with the winner receiving £1444 and the loser receiving £481



Five matches were cancelled due to a positive covid test amongst a player in one of the participating team, in this case the team with the positive test were forced to withdraw from the competition. One match was cancelled due to Droylesden having resigned a few weeks ago from all competitions with their drawn opponents Litherland Remyca given a bye to the next round. The match involving Sevenoaks and Hounslow Utd was abandoned due to alleged racial abuse being aimed at the Hounslow team, this match and result is now subject to an FA investigation. The match between Burgess Hill Town and Hollands and Blair was in the days prior to the match was looking likely to be cancelled due to a positive covid test amongst a member of the Burgess Hill Town players and/or staff, however Burgess Hill deemed the match could go ahead as there had been no contact with the playing squad and staff that would be involved in the match. Hollands and Blair refused to play the match so the match as it stands has been awarded to Burgess Hill Town
