Dover Athletic have announced they are on the brink of insolvency at the end of August if they do not find extra funding. Staff have taken a 20% pay cut , the players have refused and have all been placed on the transfer list. The uncertainty of when supporters will be allowed back into grounds and how and when the National League season will start plus no match day income since March due to the curtailment of the 2019-20 season due to Covid-19 . The National League is due to start the 2020-21 season on October 3rd but with no guarantee of crowds being allowed in this is at risk as the National League system is not viable behind closed doors and Dover have stated even with crowds allowed back the social distancing measures could limit attendances to 861 people with no away fans

In other news the FA have today reiterated that fans are not allowed at non league games. Pre Season friendlies have commenced and it has been reported fans have been in attendance with reports of over 100 people at some games. Source BBC Sport report on fans attending games
