Congratulations to Harrogate Town who have been promoted to the EFL after winning the national league playoff final. They beat Notts County 3-1 in the match held at wembley stadium behind closed doors

Harrogate Town formed in 1914 and became founding members of the National League Conference North in 2004 and survived relegation in 2009-10 due to Nothwich Victoria being demoted due to financial issues. Irving Weaver took over control of the club at the start of the 2011-12 season. His son Simon Weaver having been appointed manager in 2009 is currently the longest serving manager through the top flight leagues. Harrogate gained promotion to the National League Premier division via the playoffs in 2017-18.

Due to Harrogate Town having a 4g pitch which the EFL do not accept they will begin life in the EFL at Doncaster Rovers Keepmoat stadium whilst they replace their pitch back to grass.

I predict Harrogate Town will be a force to be reckoned with in the EFL Division Two
